Located in the heart of Nashville, ONEC1TY serves as an environment that welcomes elements of casualty and playfulness that beautifully aids in communicating the whimsical nature of The Tempest.

Families gather with their dogs on blankets amd fold up chairs to admire the seemingly boundless stage in one city. Actors wander around the audience, nibbling on concessions provided by local food trucks while noises of the occasional train or plane pass by. This experience makes ONEC1TY the perfect venue that allows for audiences to interpret Shakespeare's work in a way that feels present and specific to Nashville.

An Interactive Environment

ONEC1TY

On August 12th, the Tempest debuts in Nashville Shakespeare Festival’s new summer home, ONEC1TY. ONEC1TY is described as a “vibrant urban community” that serves as a sort of hub for various communities in the Nashville Area. Production at ONEC1TY is set upon “The Yard,” a beautiful lawn that houses the world’s largest 3D-printed object. This 3D object serves as the set for productions and consists of a very open, spider-like structure. ONEC1TY conjures up new beginnings for The Nashville Shakespeare company, creating a dynamic performance that is interactive in every form.
